Become a Member of AAUW
The American Association of University Women (AAUW) is a powerful community that breaks through barriers facing women and families today. Established in 1881, AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research.
If you hold an associate or equivalent, baccalaureate, or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university, you can join AAUW. Individuals who have received honorary degrees from qualified institutions are also eligible for membership.
Students can join AAUW at a special discount rate or for free when their college or university becomes a partner member. AAUW college/university partner membership is open to regionally accredited educational institutions, including two-year or community colleges.
Membership Types and Current Dues
AAUW national individual membership dues are $49. Of that amount, $46 is tax deductible as a charitable contribution; $3 is not deductible because it supports the AAUW Action Fund’s section 501(c)(4) Lobby Corps and get-out-the-vote activities
Graduate students enrolled in a regionally accredited educational institution can join AAUW for $18.81.
Undergraduate students enrolled in a two- or four- year regionally accredited educational institution can join as student affiliates for $17.
E-Affiliate Student Members
Students enrolled in colleges or universities that are AAUW college/university partner members can become AAUW e-affiliate members at no cost.
