Become a Member of AAUW

The American Association of University Women (AAUW) is a powerful community that breaks through barriers facing women and families today. Established in 1881, AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research.

If you hold an associate or equivalent, baccalaureate, or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university, you can join AAUW. Individuals who have received honorary degrees from qualified institutions are also eligible for membership.

Students can join AAUW at a special discount rate or for free when their college or university becomes a partner member. AAUW college/university partner membership is open to regionally accredited educational institutions, including two-year or community colleges.
